Purpose
Fam-it is an all-in-one family care platform that connects seniors with relatives for emotional support, home awareness, and health check-ins. Household IoT cameras support live view and two-way talk so family can see a room (for example the kitchen) and speak with the person at home. Moments can be shared into FamLoop for the wider family circle. Remote vitals such as blood pressure and glucose appear as care overlays, and important readings can surface as alerts inside family chat so relatives notice without constant checking. The product moved from brainstorming to launch over about two years.

Approach
- Project plan and feature strategy across camera, companion app, and family chat
- Flows for live view, two-way talk, and Share to FamLoop
- Remote vitals monitoring patterns and in-chat alert moments
- Prototypes, functional specs, wireframes, and UX patterns
From brainstorming through wireframes, UI, UX, and development took about 18 months. Work balanced emotional connection (live talk, FamLoop sharing) with practical safety cues (camera placement in everyday rooms, vitals visibility, chat alerts) so care felt supportive rather than surveillance-heavy.

Challenges
Senior-care is a niche market with mixed audiences — elders at home, adult children abroad, and caregivers — so defining who the product speaks to first was hard. Camera and health data also needed to feel trustworthy: clear live contexts (like Kitchen), readable vitals HUDs, and alerts that inform without alarming every small change.
Result
Product launched in 2018 with camera + companion app experiences spanning live home view, family sharing, and remote health awareness in chat.
