- Authored UX test report and briefed designers on suggested modifications
The Toucan Camera was already at the UAT stage and all hardware parts were developed. I oversaw user experience testing to understand how users interact with the camera, with the main goals of (1) improving the product design and interface with the associated mobile app (2) increase ease of use for the consumer (3) identifying UI, flow, internal process issues before public release and (4) provide feedback to the engineering team for informed changes.
IoT Devices need to be tested in real-world conditions.
I recruited 5 users and implemented the testing protocol to understand the areas for improvement. I let each participant install and use the product in a real environment, and conducted a survey after one month of use to assess the product.
Challenges During real environment testing, users encountered hardware problems which could not be fixed by the user. Result Provided suggestions to improve some UI icons and revise misleading flow. With over 20 years of experience in multimedia and user experience design, I have a strong background in creating innovative solutions for a wide range of applications.
